With effect from 24 August 2020, the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic updated the rules for entry into the territory of the Czech Republic.
As of 24 August, a new protective measure of the Ministry of Health will come into effect. All persons coming from the countries with high risk of COVID-19 still have to undergo PCR test for the presence of SARS CoV-2 after they enter the territory of the Czech Republic and their free movement on the territory is limited.
The rules for entering the territory of the Czech Republic and quarantine measures are defined by the Ministry of Health (pdf, 62 kB). List of countries with a low risk of COVID-19 contagion is here (pdf, 24 kB).
As of September 1, 2020, as a prevention measure against the spread of COVID-19, the partial wearing of face masks will be introduced in the Czech Republic again.
The nose and mouth should be covered in public transport and inside some buildings, such as health and social care facilities, offices or polling stations.
Face masks must also be worn during social events organised indoors with participation of more than 100 persons.
