The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic approved one small scale project in Nepal and one project for Sri Lanka in 2020. The total amount of the support of the Czech Government will be 906,000.00 CZK.
Nepal:
Strategic Electricity Access Model with Small Scale Solar and Wind Hybrid Systems for Remote Off-Grid Electrification
The project will be realized by Energy Environment Research and Development Centre (EERDC). The project is supported by 442,000.00 CZK.
The aim of the proposed project is a pilot of a solar wind hybrid facility in the village of Tatopani. The solar facility will supply electricity to the local medical station. This will result, inter alia, in the possibility of creating a freezing system for storing some frequently used vaccines and medicines, an autoclave device for sterilizing objects and other items in a childbirth center, or a suitable lighting system to provide effective health services.
Sri Lanka:
Rural children prepare for Modern World of Work through ICT Education
The project will be realized by Good Neighbors International Sri Lanka. The project is supported by 464,00.00 CZK.
The aim of the project is to build an information center in Medawachchiya primary school, including the necessary furniture consisting of an IT room, a lecture room, an aesthetic room and a library. Another output is the organization of an IT course for school pupils.
