Long term visa and long term residence permit submission

Applicants for long term visa and long term residence permit travelling to the Czech Republic will make an appointment for visa submission in the following manner. VALID FROM 23. 4. 2018

I. Applications for long term visa and long term residence permit  of the citizens of Bhutan, India, Maldives  and Sri Lanka

Applicants from Bhutan, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka for long term visa and long term residence permit traveling to the Czech Republic can only use the following e-mail address to make an appointment: visa_newdelhi@mzv.cz Bookings start every first working day of the month at 11 a.m. (local indian time) until capacity is filled.

Applications will be accepted and processed chronologically. In one e-mail it is possible to ask for a slot for only one applicant (the only exception is in case of minor applicant whose request for slot will be accepted in the same e-mail as of his/her parent).

The applicant will receive an appointment only if the e-mail contains all necessary requirements. If the capacity for the month is full, the applicant will receive an automatic response and can try again the following month.

The subject of the e-mail requesting an appointment must contain an alphanumeric code updated every first working day of the month at 11 a.m. (indian time). In case of wrong alphanumeric code or no alphanumeric code in the subject, the email will be discarded.

The email must contain the following identification information about the applicant:

  1. first name and surname
  2. date of birth
  3. passport number
  4. purpose of travel for long-term visa/ long term residence permit
  5. phone number
  6. e-mail
  7. attachment- scan of the passport data page (in .pdf )
  8. attachment- scan of the document proving the travel purpose (in .pdf format)

The appointment dates are final and unchangeable. Cancelled appointments cannot be replaced by other applicants. If the applicant cancels his/her appointment, new appointment must be arranged via e-mail by identical procedure.

The capacity of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi to accept the long term visa and long term residency permits is 50 applications weekly including "Regime Students".

There is no other way to make an appointment for submission of applications for long-term visa and long-term residence permits and the Embassy will not respond to attempts which do not follow the above mentioned procedure.

II. Applications for employee cards of the citizens of Bhutan, India, Maldives  and Sri Lanka

Applicants from Bhutan, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka for employee cards traveling to the Czech Republic can only use the following e-mail address to make an appointment:Zamkarta_NewDelhi@mzv.cz . Bookings start every first working day of the month at 11 a.m. (local indian time) until capacity is filled.

Applications will be accepted and processed chronologically. In one e-mail it is possible to ask for a slot for only one applicant (the only exception is in case of family members of the employee card applicant whose request for slot will be accepted in the same e-mail as of the employee card applicant).

III. The new registration system for the schengen visa of the citizens of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka AND Employee card, Long term visa and Long term residence permit of the citizens of Bangladesh and Nepal 

The appointment for lodging the application of Employee card, Long term visa and Long term residence permit of the citizens of Bangladesh and Nepal can be allocated only via telephone line. The operation of the special phone line will be started on 2/5/2018. For more information please visit

The same procedure as mentioned in the article III. will be applied also for the citizens of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka applying for the schengen visa.
