Hot to Schedule an Appointment for Applicants from Bangladesh and Nepal

This article explains how to arrange an appointment for submitting a short-term (Schengen) visa application for applicants legally residing in Bangladesh and Nepal.

Applicants legally residing in Bangladesh and Nepal must use the following e-mail address to arrange an appointment: shortterm_bgd.npl@mzv.cz .

It is possible to book an appointment every first and third Friday of the month starting at 8 a.m. (IST) until the capacity is filled. In case the first or third Friday of the month is a holiday, it will be possible to book the appointment on the following Friday at 8 a.m. (IST).

The appointment  will be schedule for the Friday 4 or 5 weeks after the booking date.Example: an appointment successfully booked on the first Friday of November, will be granted on the first or second Friday of December.

Each appointment is for submitting a single application, i.e it is not possible to book a single appointment for submitting the applications of a travelling group (the only exception is in case of minor applicant whose request for appointment will be accepted in the same e-mail as of his/her parent).

The applicant will receive an appointment only if the e-mail fulfills all the necessary requirements. In case the capacity has already been reached, the applicant will receive an automatic response informing about the same.

The subject of the e-mail must contain the alphanumeric code which is published every first and third Friday of the month at 8 a.m. (IST). In case the first or third Friday of the month is a holiday, the alphanumeric code will be published on the following Friday at 8 a.m. The alphanumeric code is published in the "News" section of this website.

The e-mail must contain the following information about the applicant and the journey:

  • First name and surname.
  • Date of birth.
  • Passport number.
  • Purpose of travel.
  • Phone number.
  • E-mail address.
  • Copy of the passport personal data page. This must be scanned and can only be in *.pdf format.

The appointment dates are set and cannot be changed. The appointments are personal and not transferable to other applicants. If the applicant does not show, a new appointment must be arranged by following the same procedure.

The Embassy will not respond to attempts to schedule an appointment which do not fully comply with the above-explained procedure.

The e-mail address shortterm_bgd.npl@mzv.cz must only be used only for arranging an appointment for submitting an application by legal residents in Bangladesh and Nepal.
